New camper area in Águilas, Murcia: the German company Dümo opens a new parking area for motorhomes and caravans with 108 spaces in the urbanization Los Geranios.

The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Tourism, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, visited yesterday Dümo Camperpark for motorhomes, which has opened this international company in the former facilities of the Camping "Los Geráneos". Michael Thyssen, new co-owner, explained the reforms that are being carried out to condition these tourist facilities with a capacity of 108 plots, which are already occupied, just after opening its doors, to 60%.

Dümo's intention is to accommodate the motorhomes that visit the town, as well as to offer recreational and leisure activities to its users and school camps; also in the future they want to expand their offer with a motorhome sales area.

The mayor has pointed out that "Águilas needs this type of facilities, since many people come to the town for tourism with their caravans and motorhomes. In recent years there has also been an increase in the possibility of travel and tourism and a camping area, where motorhomes are in conditions and have all their services, it is very important for Águilas, so we welcome this company and wish them every success".
